Song 1 of 4
Stuck in a Place
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
Psalm 142:7
Lyrics
I wish I could fly.
If I could grow wings.
Stretched out from the flesh.
My freedom it would bring.
Songs of praise I would sing.
Stuck in a cell.
A mental hell.
This is no place for me to dwell.
My only light.
Distorted sight.
My six-by-six block.
My nature wall of light.
Though these walls surround me,
they cannot hold my soul.
God is writing freedom,
and He is in control.
But somewhere deep inside me,
there is still a flame.
Every prayer I whisper
calls upon Your name.
